Mission and Values
Our Mission
The mission of Living Hope Baptist Church is to foster…
love for God
through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and
Christlikeness
in believers through the ministries of the Church, and in non-believers through the proclamation of the Gospel.
Our Core Values
We value the Bible as God's authoritative Word . . .
Therefore we will study it personally, teach it correctly, and seek to apply it daily to our lives.
We value Excellence . . .
Therefore we will seek to honor God by investing adequate time, resources, and energy to do things right and to the best of our abilities.
We value authentic Worship and Praise . . .
Therefore we will create an encouraging and uplifting environment where people can experience God.
We value Prayer . . .
Therefore we will engage in personal, family, and corporate prayer remembering to pray for each other and for the salvation of lost souls.
We value culturally relevant Outreach (evangelism, soul winning) . . .
Therefore we will develop multiple outreach ministries while training our people to share their faith effectively.
We value Accountability and Fellowship . . .
Therefore we will demonstrate Christian love by being hospitable to each other, spending time together, and making ourselves accountable to one another.
We value Discipleship . . .
Therefore we will provide the resources and training for focused Bible studies for men, women, and children as well as for new believers and perspective members.
We value Marriage and the Family . . .
Therefore we will honor these foundational elements of society by giving regular biblical instruction to our people, by providing counseling to hurting families, and by spending time with our spouses and children.
We value Lay Ministry and Servanthood . . .
Therefore we will seek to involve every member in ministry by identifying entry-level ministries, helping people discover their spiritual gifts, and providing them with appropriate training and encouragement.
We value Missions . . .
Therefore we will make Missions a priority throughout the year by praying for more laborers, providing material support, participating in mission trips, and maintaining a healthy balance between foreign and home missions.
We value Children . . .
Therefore we will seek to teach our children to be Christlike by conducting quality children's ministries, developing God-centered homes rather than child-centered homes, setting biblical examples as godly parents, and helping our children work out their life direction.
